問題の特徴
Part6では長文穴埋め問題が16問出題されます。
長文に4つの空所があり、そこに入れるのにもっとも適切な単語・語句・文を、それぞれ4つの選択肢の中から選ぶ問題です。
この記事では、動詞の形（時制・態）を問う問題を解説します。

攻略ヒント
Part6の動詞の形を問う問題では「時制」と「態」がポイントとなります。
時制
時制を選ぶときは時を表す語句に着目します。
例）The Jacksons moved to Chicago last month.
ジャクソン家は先月シカゴへ引っ越した。
→”last month” があることから、過去形となる。
例）He has been sick since last Monday.
彼は先週の月曜日から病気で休んでいる。
→“since”（〜以来）があることから、現在完了形（継続）となる。
態
態を選ぶときは主語と動詞の関係に着目します。
例）Ted wrote the letter yesterday.
テッドが昨日手紙を書いた。
→主語（Ted）が動作を行うので、能動態となる。
例）The letter was written (by Ted) yesterday.
手紙は（テッドによって）昨日書かれた。
→主語（the letter）が動作を受けるので、受動態となる。

⇨空所がある文の最後に “February 21” という日付が示されている。本文の前をみると、このお知らせが出されたのは “January 9” であることがわかる。
よって “February 21” は未来の出来事なので、未来を表す(C)が正解となる。
